Now it's time for me to start my last development project for this season. So it is about the kind of project that I do with to take care of my professional development. Things that used to be called continuing education. This time it is about sewing together some previous projects and simply starting to connect the premises at the school and providing them with some sensors and opportunities to communicate with those who are going to use the premises. If a room is too hot or bad, the room should be able to suggest and book another room with a better environment. The premises must therefore also be able to communicate with each other.
Now that we are at the end of May and are starting to get closer to the summer, the high temperatures in the school premises are reminded again. It's no weird that I cut temperatures around 30 degrees in my room every day. That's how it can be in classrooms too. Especially when you work in a school built in 1946. And given that, for example, some national tests are written in these times, it would be great if the premises in which they are to be written were a little smarter and could warn in time and provide alternatives.
It's also about being able to use our premises a little smarter. We have a lot of space - and along with the booking system that I built and written about earlier - the sensors will be able to detect if there is someone in the room when it should be busy. If it is not, it can drop the booking after a certain time.
The main thing is, however, about seeing if it is possible to get a cheap prototype that would be useful while I get to learn a little more about everything and build some things.

As you can see in the picture, so I roughly sketched my plan. But of course I'm sure I'll come up with a little more stuff along the way - and you might also sit on some good suggestion? What could a room do?
Next I will build a small prototype with the sensors I intend to use. So... I'll just come back with some video and pictures ahead. I don't set a deadline on myself, because I don't know how much I can do this before vacation.
